High School Community Service
Transformations Rehabilitation Services offers a rich experience for high school students who desire to obtain community service hours during the summer. Each student is assigned to a particular group and is actively involved helping children meet goals established by the therapist who leads the group.
A commitment of at least two weeks provides continuity for the children and offers the best learning experience for the volunteer. Students have found this experience rewarding and valuable for future career planning. In the past, many students who made an initial two week commitment extended their experience for the entire six week summer program.
Occupational Therapy Students
Transformations Rehabilitation Services supports local educational institutions. Currently, there is ongoing training available for Level I and Level II Occupational Therapy students. Training includes clinic based experience. Students collaborate with occupational therapists using a team approach.
Mentoring is ongoing and is an integral part of the experience at Transformations Rehabilitation Services.
